Education 

The Ward Museum is a crucial interdisciplinary learning resource for the Delmarva Peninsula. The museum’s Education Department serves over 20,000 youth and adult students every year through a variety of dynamic, hands-on programs, tours, and camps that focus on art, heritage and nature. The museum offers programming to adults, families, schools, home school, scouts and other organized groups.

Professional development opportunities are available for formal and non-formal educators through a variety of curriculum trainings and workshops including:
- Flying WILD: An Educators Guide to Celebrating Birds
- Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s BirdSleuth curriculum
- Lower Shore Traditions Curriculum and Activity Guide
As a Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education Green Center, the Ward Museum also serves as a resource for schools interested in the Green School program.
