Special Events

The Ward Museum hosts special events as a means of promoting and preserving the legacy of the Ward Brothers, wildfowl art and waterfowling traditions. The events provide an opportunity for wildfowl artist to exhibit their works, a forum to interpret related activities, social opportunities for members, and support for our exhibits.

In addition to the Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition and Art Festival and the Chesapeake Wildfowl Expo, the museum has a free reception for the openings of new exhibits. The reception offers the public an opportunity to meet the artists or collectors involved with the exhibit and learn the history and significance of the exhibit.
