The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art is nestled next to Schumaker Pond in Salisbury, Maryland. Surrounded by wildlife in the heart of the Atlantic Flyway, the Museum features the world's largest and finest public collection of decorative and antique decoys. The Museum was named in honor of Steven and Lemuel Ward, whose vision and artistry in carving decoys pioneered the transition of the decoy from a working tool to an expressive wildfowl sculpture.

The Ward Museum facility offers stunning waterfront views and a truly unique setting for any event. With the newly completed outdoor pavilion, the grounds and building of the museum have been joined in a way that is like no other facility on the Eastern Shore. With access to our nature walk and the museum galleries, your event can encompass your love of nature, art and culture in one location. From weddings and anniversaries, to meetings and luncheons, the Ward Museum is able to accommodate your needs. Our Atrium Lobby is ideal for day and evening events. Its 3 story glass walled views of Schumaker Pond are a magnificent backdrop to formal and informal occasions. It comfortably seats 70 for a banquet or 100 for a lecture. The space can also be arranged for a much smaller event while still maintaining the intimate waterfront setting. Our Education Room is well suited for meetings and presentations. Both of these facilities are perfect companions to the rental of our outdoor pavilion. This newest addition to the museum grounds is our pavilion, situated on a concrete pad with electric service and lights. Overlooking the expanse of Schumaker Pond, this pavilion is one of the most notable rental spaces in the region. Whether for a cocktail party, a luncheon, or a wedding, this setting cannot be beat!

The Ward Museum is a non-profit organization and rental of its facilities are used to support museum operations. Corporate membership with the Ward Museum entitles renters to 10% off their rental contract total, as well as member benefits throughout the year.
