Capt. Tom Cornicelli

A native of Long Island, NY, Captain Tom Cornicelli has received widespread acclaim for his combined talents as an artist and full time waterfowl and fishing guide. He has appeared on nation wide television and his renowned service has been featured in local newspapers and various outdoor publications such as “The New York Times”, “Wildfowl Art” and “Fly Fish America.” As a high profile charter boat captain and angler, he is five time International Game Fish Association world record holder on the fly rod and his accomplishments on the water are unrivaled. During the off-season Tim is a full-time wildfowl artist and has been creating his art since 1987. At the beginning, Tom carved decoys for hunting, but after being urged to attend some of the local carving shows, Tom’s work quickly became competitive at the world class level. Since 1992 he has consistently placed in numerous shows throughout the country. He most recently won “Best in Show Honors” World Gunning Pairs Division at the World’s 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2007 Competitions. His highly collectible gunners are in numerous states and three countries and was recently recruited by Avery Outdoors to compliment their Greenhead Gear line of decoys.
