From the time Schultz began exhibiting his work in 1979; his exquisitely designed and detailed sculpture has earned Best in Show recognition at shows throughout the country, including the Ward World and Masters classes. In 2001, he began work on a commission depicting 14 of the upland, shorebird and waterfowl species indigenous to the Missouri Coteau prairie of the Dakotas; a region that, together with the Rocky Mountain west, remains among Schultz’s most cherished.
