The Ward Museum strives to offer dynamic, hands-on programs to fit your needs and to assist you in meeting state guidelines. We offer a variety of age-appropriate education programs for early childhood, elementary, middle and high school students on topics of art, culture and nature. Choose from a full slate of innovative and engaging field trip programs, outreach courses and museum tours.

The museum can accommodate up to 40 students per field trip. We respectfully ask groups of more than 40 students to be split into separate field trips in order to provide a more positive experience to all participants. Reservations must be made 3 weeks in advance. While we are happy to provide spaces for students to eat lunch, the museum cannot provide food for field trips.

If you are unable to visit the Ward Museum we can bring programs to your school, after school program, camp or organization. Additional travel fees may be applied to school visits.

Program Application

Please note that this form is only to inquire about availability. Field trip is NOT confirmed until the lead teacher is contacted by the Education Coordinator and a confirmation packet is sent. Dates must be requested at least 3 weeks in advance.

Pricing and Specials

Field trips are $7 per student, with teachers and chaperones at no additional charge. A standard field trip is typically 90 minutes and taught in 3 rotations, with an additional 30 minutes for lunch and the gift shop if requested. Field trip durations may be adjusted according to teacher/student needs. There is an additional $25 flat fee for materials. Discounted rates may be available for public schools and nonprofit organizations. After submitting your field trip request, Ward Museum education staff will be in contact to confirm your visit and provide you with an estimate.
