Drop in Art

(FREE) Drop in with the whole family for an artist-led activity every third Saturday from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Attendees will receive step-by-step instructions from a local guest artist on how to create a unique piece of art. Recent projects have been painting carved owls, creating documentary story quilts, and kite making. Video recordings featuring in-depth instructions of all the projects are available to watch on our YouTube channel. Program supported by the Susan K. Black Foundation.

Drop in Art Jr.

(FREE) Every Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Share a story followed by a thematic craft with the little ones in your life. Program supported by the Susan K. Black Foundation.

Discovery Backpacks

(FREE) The Ward Museum has discovery backpacks fully outfitted with everything you would need for a scientific investigation of the natural world. Free for use around the museum grounds during normal business hours. The backpacks, funded by the Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network, are filled with tools to assist students’ nature study on the trail.
