“A Practiced Eye: Bob Hines” Guided Exhibit Tour with biographer Dr. John D. Juriga
March 20 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Join the Ward Museum on March 20 from 5-7 pm for a guided tour of the LaMay Gallery exhibit A Practiced Eye: Bob Hines with Hines biographer Dr. John D. Juriga.
Bob Hines was a prolific wildlife illustrator, painter, and conservationist whose work with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Rachel Carson, and others helped to shape both the contemporary conservation and environmental movements and the artistic representation of the natural world.
This exhibit, from the generous donation of Frances B. Juriga and Dr. John D. Juriga, serves as a survey of Hines’ body of work, from field sketches to pen and ink to oil paintings.
Join us for an intimate reception and walkthrough of this exhibit and the life and work of Bob Hines, National Wildlife Artist. Original Bob Hines artworks are for sale in Treetops, the museum gift shop, courtesy of Russell Fink Gallery. This event is free and open to the public.
