The Ward Museum admission to the museum galleries is free during October 2018. The O’Hare Team at Berkshire Hathaway of Ocean Pines, MD Ward Museum Corporate Sponsor, is sponsoring free admissions for local museum guests for the month of October 2018. Local visitors include residents of Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Talbot, Sussex, Caroline, and Accomack counties. Ticketed events and programs are excluded.

Featured in the Ward Museum’s Welcome Gallery is A Century of Conservation: The 1918 North American Migratory Bird Treaty. As part of the 50th anniversary of the Ward Foundation, the Ward Museum celebrates the centennial of the 1918 Migratory Bird Treaty Act and its transformative relationship with the Chesapeake Bay with this landmark legislation.
On exhibit in the LaMay gallery is 50 Finest Decoy Makers before 1950. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Ward Foundation, the Ward Museum is holding an exhibit of fifty great decoy carvers and their works prior to 1950.
The Ward Museum offers opportunities for students of all ages to explore wildfowl in art, heritage, and environmental studies, serving 23,000 participants annually through on-site and off-site programs. Join the Ward Museum for Pop UP Art, every third Saturday 10am-noon, ebird Tuesday’s at 9 am and Drop-in Art, Jr every Wednesday 10-11 am. Each of these programs are free and open to the public.
