The area surrounding the Chesapeake Bay has a distinct visual appeal that is centered on the iconic images of the Bay, its people, and the incredibly diverse bounty of both the water and land. From the arch of the Bay Bridge rising over the Chesapeake to the Ward Brothers in their workshop, this exhibit features historical pictures that have shaped the wider understanding of the Chesapeake. 9th Annual Art in Nature Photo Festival

Throughout the weekend, photographers of all skill levels are invited to participate in seminars and workshops offered by a selection of the region's top nature photographers. Additionally, photographers are encouraged to enter their photos in one of the competition in three levels: professional, amateur, or youth.  Don't miss the Andy Warhol Pop-Up Exhibit (Saturday and Sunday of Art in Nature; Wristband required).   Artist After Hours, keynote, and lecture on Friday, August 9th starting a 5pm.

Carve & Paint an Antique Owl with Rich Smoker

Learn to carve like Ward Museum World Champion and Living Legend, Rich Smoker. Using hand- or power-tools, carve and paint an antique style owl.
